I literally cannot believe I’m planning this already, it only feels like a couple of months ago I was pregnant!
I wanted to share with you a couple of places I got some of the things for it. I was stuck between a mini mouse theme and a unicorn theme, but seen as she loves Micky mouse clubhouse I decided to go with that. I love a website called ‘PartyDelights’, I got loads of stuff from there for her christening as well. The site is really organised and easy to use and has got loads of ideas for 1st birthdays as well as christenings and baby showers. I got all her decorations from there including plates and cups, napkins etc and take home party bags.
I got her balloons from my favourite balloon shop that I use all the time called ‘One stop party’. It’s in Northenden, and they again are so helpful and creative with the look you want. They also have all kinds of amazing things in. Its definitely worth a look if you’re planning any kind of celebration!
I wanted Aurora to enjoy the day even though she doesn’t really understand! So I hired soft play which she loved, and I think is an amazing idea. Ive heard some reviews that when it arrives you end up cleaning it yourself because its dirty, but I used this company run by the nicest woman who is OCD when it comes to cleaning, and I must say the stuff was fabulous! We had some stuff inside and some outside which was great because by the afternoon the day became absolutely boiling hot!
Food wise, I made a big chicken caesar salad and a pesto pasta and then ordered Waitrose catering service for the rest. They offer a really easy and stress free service where you can call up and place your order or online, not just in store which w`as great, and as you can imagine the food didn’t disappoint! The cake was amazing, exactly what I asked for. I usually get my cakes from Peter Herd in Wilmslow. They are surprisingly reasonable and they never let you down with the look or how they taste. Really recommend them.
The day went really well, we loved every minute of it and Aurora seemed to as well because she’s such a people person.. We want to thank all our family and friends again for coming. She got so spoilt!!
